Turn our schools into prisons??
With a high number of states facing budget shortfalls, Governors have decided it’s better to cut from schools, than to raise taxes. Ithaca, MI public school superintendent Nathan Bootz laid out a staggering juxtaposition, that the state of Michigan spends annually somewhere between 30 thousand and 40 thousand per prisoner, yet they’re struggling to provide schools with 7 thousand dollars per student. Bootz proposes to turn his school into a prison, he joins the show to explain.
